Paypal donation active for HOH of Wisconsin

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

I just want to give you an update. We now have the Paypal Donate button on our website at www.horizonofhope.org/help.html.

There are two ways of donating to Horizon of Hope  through Paypal.

1. One way is by pressing the Donate button on our website:

- If you have a Paypal account you only have to enter your Paypal user, password and the amount you would like to donate (I already have faith that some would be willing to donate)

- If you do not have a Paypal account you have the option of donating with your credit or debit card. On the bottom left side of the Paypal page you will see this text:

Don’t have a PayPal account?
Use your credit card or bank account (where available)
.”

Right after this text there is a link on the word Continue which will take you to a secure page where you can fill in your credit card information and the amount you would like to donate.

2. Another way is by directly pressing on the button bellow

Still waiting…

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

It has been a long time since the last post. After finishing the slab we are trying to raise the funds for the next step, which is building the outside walls of the second level! My wife and I and our girls are in the US but getting ready to go back to Romania soon!

The Horizon of Hope of Wisconsin, US should be finalized soon. After a long wait we THINK that the approval process should be almost done in a few weeks, if not days. My father-in-law talked to someone from IRS and was assured that it will not be long before we receive the final paper.

Please pray for John and Pauline as they are going through some health problems.

If you are interested in helping Horizon of Hope from the US, Europe, New Zealand, etc. please let us know. You can contact us at mail@horizonofhope.ro. We are always glad and encouraged to see people interested in our vision of investing in Romanian youth and beyond!

Luxembourg

With the downturn in the economic situation, churches and missions are finding their budgets cut. Finding the finances for Horizon of Hope in these circumstances is a test of our faith. Many of our supporters are looking for innovative ways to raise funds. Oasis Church of God in Luxembourg runs a yearly catering stall in one of the city of Luxembourg’s markets. Approx 25 people spend weeks beforehand buying in supplies, preparing and baking.

On the day, helpers turn out early, 6am to erect the tents needed for the food bars and coffee tents.

This year, despite predicted heavy rain, the day was fine but cold. John and Pauline England and Petry Groza flew in from Romania to man the cafe and to be available to promote Horizon of Hope by chatting with customers and providing information materials.

At the end of a busy tiring day, the church and its work had been made more visible to the population and had raised Euro 3,000 towards the building project. Our thanks to all for the hard work, practical support and fellowship as we worked together.

In previous years we have had people do sponsored walks, make and sell jewellery, hold cake stalls, knit baby clothes and sell unwanted produce or used goods. We would be interested to hear of your efforts on our behalf. Please feel free to write to us at mail@horizonofhope.ro.

Just want to let you know that the HOH (AOS) Romania members decided to start a prayer meeting every first Thursday of each month. The meeting will take place at Bethany Church in Fagaras at 8:30 AM (+2 GMT – RO time).
We had our first 2 meetings and we had a wonderful hour of praying for all the needs of HOH and also praying for each other.

You are more than welcome to join us in praying for Horizon of Hope every first Thursday of each month. Maybe you can take the time now and mark it in your calendar so you will know to join us at any time of the day on that Thursday.

We know that in times of economical crisis God will be even more glorified by everything that will be invested in the transition center we are building!
