Horizon of Hope

Yesterday morning (Friday) we had the inspection of the slab on top of the first floor. As you can see in the pictures below there were quite a few inspectors present. The main inspector is the lady in the pictures. She is the state representative. After a few walks on the soon to be slab the inspector signed the certification and the approval to pour the concrete. She did find some mistakes that need to be corrected so the pouring of the slab was postponed for the end of next week.

“A picture is worth a thousand words” - this is why I would like to share with you a few of the pictures I took yesterday at the HOH building site.

We are thankful to God that we are able to move on step by step when the current economic climate is still on a down turn.
Yesterday morning  around 6:30 I was on the phone  with the crew informing me that they do not have electricity anymore. Right now the electricity is provided through a long cable from the closest house that belongs to the HOH Romanian president – Vasile H. The problem why there was no electricity was found pretty quick. It was because the cable was missing  – stolen. It was quite a long expensive cable (530 feet aprox. $150). I had to go and buy another one so the work can go on.

We are now looking into new ways of protecting the property. As you can see the piece of land we have, it is quite narrow and long. We are still praying that we will be able to cover the fence that was poured last year by a great team from England.  If you have any suggestions on how we can add more security to an open field please let me know at mail@horizonofhope.ro.
